Parody Webcomic: BATMAN AND SONS

Awhile back I discovered a very interesting webcomic that, at the time, I meant to share because it's actually kind of cool & the drawing style is really excellent. But, being busy with this site, I sort of forgot about it. Then later a friend mentioned it to me & I was like, oh yeah, that is a cool site. I have to say something about it. But then I couldn't find it ( I have like 4 million bookmarks, ha ha ). Then I got busy & forgot about it again. Well, just recently a Bat-Blog Reader wrote me about it, asking if I had ever heard of a site called BATMAN AND SONS. He sent a link. When I got there I laughed & thought, OK, I have to report it now...so, finally, here it is! ( Thanks to Jim for re-reminding me! ) Now it's sort of a high-concept kinda thing & to get into it you have to release all the preconceived feelings you have about the Batman character. Basically, you just have to sort of go with it! The idea is that Batman is a Father & all the Robin characters through the years are his small children. There's even a tiny baby who is the "Batman Beyond" character. I guess you can say it's a little bit like a TV Family Sitcom. Yes, see, I said it was kinda weird. But once you start to read it the thing sort of grows on you. Now, I'm assuming that some people will think it's charming & others ( mainly uptight crybabies ) won't like it at all. It reminds me a lot of the recent DC Comics title "Tiny Titans", where all the characters are small children. I don't know. Please check it out & let me know what you think about it. SUPERHEROS ON PARADE - Batman, Robin, Joker, & The Riddler Costumes!

This photo was taken very recently on October 4th at a Parade in Oregon, Illinois. It was sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Kevin. He's part of a group called "Superheros on Parade" & you can find them on Facebook. Kevin is Batman ( Modern Comic Book version )& his friends are The Joker ( Heath Ledger - The Dark Knight movie version ), Robin ( Comic Book Tim Drake version ), & The Riddler! All 4 costumes are totally awesome, great job guys! In the e-mail it sort of sounded like they do a lot of charity-type stuff & I think that is great! One friend of mine goes to Children Hospitals sometimes dressed as Batman & he said the kids go totally nuts, they love it! Plus, I think it helps them recover knowing somebody cares about them or maybe it's good that they just forget about being sick for a short time. Either way it's wonderful! I love when people do good deeds like that. Thank you Kevin for sending us the pic & please be sure to keep us updated about future events. Also, tell all your friends that ALL their costume outfits TOTALLY ROCK!

BATMAN COSTUME: ROBIN OUTFIT, The Tim Drake Comic Book Version!!

I totally like this kid because he's so cool! This photo was sent in to us by a Bat-Blog Reader named Derek. Now, this is not him, but it's his Brother! This photo was taken in the 1990's when his Brother dressed up as Robin ( the 90's Tim Drake version ) for a Hometown Christmas Parade. The outfit is totally & completely AWESOME! When I was a little kid I would have killed to have a Halloween Costume this great, ha ha! Thank you Derek for sending this, I appreciate it a lot & please tell your Brother that he USED to be cool, but you're wondering what happened, ha ha.
