Every week, here at the Bat-Blog, we post a few Free Batman Desktop Backgrounds for you to enjoy. We call it "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", ha ha! Shown here are 2 very fun graphics. The 1st one is a very recent image of Batman and Robin ( Damian ) from the Modern-Day Comic Books. The next one is more "Vintage", it's a photo of an older Batman Action Figure standing next to a Toy Batmobile Car. I love these old toys and also thought it would be kind of funny. It looks like DC Direct is wasting no time creating action figures from DC Comics' new comic book title, BATMAN: INCORPORATED. So, here's a look at the 1st wave of toys: Batman ( Bruce Wayne ), Damian as Robin, Man of Bats, & the Knight. The basic story behind these is this: Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City from his trip through time with a new mission - to recruit worthy heroes to don the mantle of the bat! Realizing he can't fight evil alone, Batman teams up with an array of heroes across the globe. Traveling the world, testing and training a strong team, Bruce Wayne builds a nearly unbeatable network of crime fighters. From the ongoing BATMAN, INC. series written by Grant Morrison with art by Yanick Paquette. Look for these action figures to hit stores around July 6th, 2011.
Comic Book Resources' Jonah Weiland of CBR TV sits down with Writer Grant Morrison during Comic Con International to interview him about DC Comics’ brand-new “Batman, Inc.” comic book. Grant Morrison sort of explains the basic concept of Batman Inc. and his 2 year plan for the series. Plus, there's news about Damian Wayne’s role as Robin.
Direct from DC Comics here is the finished color artwork for the cover to the new BATMAN AND ROBIN # 10 Comic Book. The artist, Frank Quitely, did an amazing job on it! It shows Robin about to kill Batman. Well, try anyway! I guess Damian is really going insane ...again! Personally I think that Dick Grayson needs to teach him some manners, ha ha! OK, I know I have been going a little crazy with the Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds lately but a lot of cool hi-res artwork has been flooding in & I gotta spread it around! I have not heard any complaints yet so here we go! These babies were made using brand-new art from the current BATMAN AND ROBIN Comic Book Series. My favorite is the 1st one with Robin ( Damian ) going all rampage-berserk on Batman ( Dick Grayson ). Well, the 2nd one is pretty cool too...just sort of a weird angle, but very interesting too. The artist on these are none other than Andy Clarke & he's doing a great job so far. I love the crisp clean lines & the hyper-attention to details! Look for these images in future issues of B&R.
