Yes! BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD has returned and the 1st new episode, titled “The Battle of the Superheroes!”, will air tonight on Friday, March 25th, on the Cartoon Network! It comes on around 6:30 pm, check your local listings. The Basic Plot: The Man of Steel and the Caped Crusader do battle after Superman is infected with red kryptonite. Batman must find a way to turn Superman back to his old self because he is going to need all the help he can get when Lex Luthor unleashes his latest scheme on Metropolis. Now, the cool thing about this episode is that the Art Direction gives the characters a wonderful "Retro 1950's" look! Plus, it features Superman, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, The Bottled City of Kandor, & much more!

SQUATZ - DC UNIVERSE - New Figures Checklist

You might remember reading about the brand-new SQUATZ toys here at the Bat-Blog about 2 weeks ago. We had some prototype pics of the packaging & mentioned them. Well, I have now seen the actual product, in my hands, & they're extremely cool! What I'm talking about is the new line of DC UNIVERSE / SQUATZ FIGURES made by Wild Planet. They are compact collectible figures of our favorite DC Comics characters embedded in dissolving tablets. They are sold 2 figures per pack. One figure is visible & the other is hidden. The list of Core Characters ( visible ) include: Batman, The Joker, The Penguin, Green Lantern, Superman, & The Flash. The list of Bonus Characters ( hidden ) include: Aquaman, Robin, Lex Luthor, Gorilla Grodd, Green Arrow, Hawkman, & Wonder Woman. Overall there are 13 different ones to collect. Each package will have a retail price of around $9.99 & you can find them at the end of this year, during the holiday season. In fact, I think they would make very excellent stocking stuffers. So, remember to keep an eye out for these later! Now, for the Toy & Action Figure Collectors out there, who will probably be collecting all of these, I have created this special SQUATZ - DC UNIVERSE Checklist! OK, actually it's a Desktop Wallpaper you can use as a background on your PC ( you could also print it out ). It shows the complete 1st wave of 13 figures. Vintage 1970's Cheerios Cereal Box with DC Superheroes Game!

In 1977 General Mills offered a special mail-away premium on boxes of Cheerios Cereal called the SUPER HEROES MAGNETIC DART GAME. It came with a Target Game Board ( with a sheet metal backing ) & 4 "Superhero Magnet-Darts". The 4 playing pieces looked like Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Robin. The 4 evil super-villains, featured on the target game board, were the Joker, Penguin, Cheetah, & Lex Luthor. Now, if I did the math correctly I was in the 7th Grade when this cereal box came out & I don't ever remember seeing this. Oh man! I would have mailed away for this, the vintage graphics are really cool, ha ha! Thanks to Doug for sending us the cool photos. By the way, I think the artwork was done by Dick Giordano. Or, at least, it looks like his stock art.
