Here's a brand-new Batman product to totally keep an eye out for! It's a BATMAN USB FLASH DRIVE created by Mimobot! The very 1st one in the series looks like the Dark Knight from 1939, a Golden Age version. Then, they're gonna release 4 other comic book versions that are more modern day. In that set ( shown down delow ) there will be Batman, Robin, The Joker, and Catwoman... MEOW! The "1939 version" will have a limited edition run of 5000 and comes preloaded with exclusive Batman MIMOBOT wallpapers, screensavers, and avatars. One thing to consider, if making a purchase, is that all Mimobot USB Flash Drives are sold in different sizes: 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, & 16GB. For more information be sure to click HERE
While surfing through eBay the other day I came across this Life-Size BATMAN Statue & knew it had to be shared. Why? Well, besides being extremely cool, the same company also makes many other members of the Justice League. Just check out the 2nd photo: Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern!!
You might remember reading about the brand-new SQUATZ toys here at the Bat-Blog about 2 weeks ago. We had some prototype pics of the packaging & mentioned them. Well, I have now seen the actual product, in my hands, & they're extremely cool! What I'm talking about is the new line of DC UNIVERSE / SQUATZ FIGURES made by Wild Planet. They are compact collectible figures of our favorite DC Comics characters embedded in dissolving tablets. They are sold 2 figures per pack. One figure is visible & the other is hidden. The list of Core Characters ( visible ) include: Batman, The Joker, The Penguin, Green Lantern, Superman, & The Flash. The list of Bonus Characters ( hidden ) include: Aquaman, Robin, Lex Luthor, Gorilla Grodd, Green Arrow, Hawkman, & Wonder Woman. Overall there are 13 different ones to collect. Each package will have a retail price of around $9.99 & you can find them at the end of this year, during the holiday season. In fact, I think they would make very excellent stocking stuffers. So, remember to keep an eye out for these later! Now, for the Toy & Action Figure Collectors out there, who will probably be collecting all of these, I have created this special SQUATZ - DC UNIVERSE Checklist! OK, actually it's a Desktop Wallpaper you can use as a background on your PC ( you could also print it out ). It shows the complete 1st wave of 13 figures. One last thing, If you wanna check out the official WILD PLANET website, just CLICK HERE!
I plan on hitting the Grocery Store later today because I just found out that the Hostess Cupcakes company has teamed-up with DC Comics to promote the JUSTICE LEAGUE! They are combining the best comic book heroes with their different food products like Cup Cakes, Twinkies, & so on... The characters include Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, & Batman! You can see the "Batman Box" up above, it's cool. Plus, they are also having a contest on their official website where you can win one million dollars!! Oh yeah, if you win then ya gotta buy me a new car or something for letting you know, ha ha! For details on how to enter, just click HERE! Once there you can see some of the other products & they're pretty neat too. ( Jeff - Thanks for the heads-up )
A friend of mine over at the 1966 Batman Message Board shared this link he found of a very cool '66 BATMAN-Themed Video Game he found online. It's one of those "Free Flash Games" you see a lot & this one was created by TV LAND awhile back to promote the fact that they had the Batman TV series & Movie on their channel. It's called "BAT-ATTACK, The Road To Gotham". To be honest, it's really sort of cheesy, ha! But if you're a Batman Fan it's actually kind of fun to play. A lot of the villains ( The Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, etc...) from the TV show make an appearance. Go ahead & give it a try, see how high YOU can score, by clicking HERE!
Hey everybody, a Punk Rock group called "Adam West: The Bat" will be playing in North Hollywood, CA on April 23rd, 2010 from 8PM - 2AM. They will be playing at the CIA - The California Institute of Abnormal Arts. The group is made up from a group of cosplayers who like to dress-up as Batman, The Flash, & 2 Jokers! ( Thanks for the info Aaron ). In case you're interested, here's a link to their music page on MySpace, click ::HERE::
More News from TOY FAIR 2010: OK, you know the toy company named FUNKO? They make those awesome Wacky Wobbler Nodders. I really love those things. Well, now they have another division in their company that makes cute Character Plush Dolls ( or Plushes ). They're doing the Wizard of OZ, Alice in Wonderland, & the Justice League of America! To get things started here are Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, & Superman. Now this totally makes me wonder since they finally ( finally! ) got the right to do DC Comics comic book characters then maybe, just maybe, they might start to make a few Funko Bobblehead Nodders. That would be so awesome!!
