New BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES BEARBRICK Figures by Medicom ( 400 and 1000 size )

Here are some cool new Bat-Products to keep an eye out for. A Japanese Toy Company called Medicom will release two BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES BEARBRICK Figures. One will be 400% scale ( $99.99 ) and the other will be 1000% ( $399.99 ). We posted a photo here that gives you an idea of their size. The smallest figure in the picture, shown far right-hand side, is the size of the regular Bearbricks Figure. So, you can see how BIG they are. They have a release date of December, 2010, so look for them very soon.

BATMAN PHONE CARDS - Reference Photos

Here at the Bat-Blog we're always trying to cover all the many different aspects of the Batman character but one main focus is on the joys of being a Bat-Collector. We also have a lot of great people who contribute wonderful material. This is a perfect example. Here are some photos sent in by our good friend, the BATFAN. He has a major collection of Batman Phone Cards he wanted to share. This is just a small portion of his full collection but these pics give you a great idea of what is out there ( Click on the pics for larger versions ). Phone Cards are really not that popular in the USA but in many foreign countries they're a VERY BIG deal. Our friend has got these from all over the globe: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, England, Canada, etc... I have always known of these things existing but never knew how many different ones there were. So, it's pretty cool to see these. My personal favorite ones are the "Batman: The Animated Series" Sets & the ones with the 1966 TV Show Actors ( Like Adam West, Julie Newmar, & Yvonne Craig ). The one with Adam West using the Red Bat-Phone is PERFECT! It's also cool to see the ones featuring the 1989 Tim Burton movie. I wanna thank BATFAN for taking the time to take these wonderful reference photos, they're GREAT! Do you have a large collection of a certain niche? Please send us some pics, thanks.

BATMAN TATTOO ART - The Animated Series

Check out this awesome Bat-Tat!! A good friend to the Bat-Blog, named Gerry, just recently sent us this photo of his special Batman Tattoo. It's a classic scene from "Batman: The Animated Series". I mean, this image is iconic! The Dark knight is standing on top of a building with lighting effects going off in the background...very cool! ( Thanks Gerry )

Zachary's BATMAN TATTOO ART - The Animated Series Opening Intro

Here's a very clever BATMAN TATTOO sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Zachary. He totally loves BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES & to prove it his tattoo shows 3 frames from the Animation Storyboard for the cartoon's opening intro. WOW! That's very original & actually very very cool! He said he got the image from the BATMAN ANIMATED Book by Paul Dini & Chip Kidd. I love that book. It's a great "behind the scenes" look at the making of the TV Show. It came out a few years ago & is a total fan-favorite among many Batman Collectors ( For more info I posted an Amazon link at the bottom of this post ). I wanna thank Zachary for sending in this wonderful photo & also give him props for getting such a unique bat-tat! Remember Readers, if you know anybody who recently got some ink done then please shoot us a photo. Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this blog.

BATMAN AND ROBIN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK KIDS, You know the drill, today is "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" & that's when we feature some brand-new ( Exclusive ) BATMAN-themed Desktop Backgrounds. The 1st one is sort of a PROMO for the Bat-Blog. It uses the original art from the 1960's Aurora Model Kit Box. Of course it's the BAT-CYCLE from the 1966 TV Show! The next one is some beautiful comic book art of BATMAN & ROBIN running in action! It's from the now classic "Batman: The Animated Series" cartoon. I hope everybody likes these, but if not, then please remember that we have hundreds more posted here at the Bat-Blog! THE ADVENTURES OF BATMAN & ROBIN Aladdin Lunch Box ORIGINAL PRODUCTION ART ( 1995 Animated Series )

Shown here is the wonderful & totally original production art used by the Aladdin Thermos Company to create the real-life ADVENTURES OF BATMAN AND ROBIN Lunch Box ©1995! Personally, I always think it's really neat to see this "behind the scenes" type stuff. Plus, the artwork is just really great because it not only features Batman & Robin but you get to see The Joker too! I totally loved this animated TV Cartoon series & seeing the real art is a rare treat ( Be sure to click on the small images here for larger, more detailed, versions ). I wanna thank our good friend, The BATFAN, for sending us these very cool photos of his amazing art collection. Remember, stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for more great stuff like this. RARE Batman Collectibles From The BATFAN Collection

OK, For people who have been reading the Bat-Blog for quite awhile ( thanks! ) you all know one special contributor nicknamed "The BATFAN". He has donated a lot of cool contest prizes & has sent us photos from his amazing Batman Art Collection. Well, here are a few pieces of Batman Memorabilia he has in his personal collection that he wanted to share because they're all so extremely unusual & very rare. The 1st two items are Batman-Shaped Ceramic Clocks that were made & produced in Japan. Plus, they were ONLY SOLD IN JAPAN too so they're kinda hard to find in the USA. They were issued in the 1980's, just a few years before the 1989 Batman Movie. They're both so extremely cool that I actually can't decide which one I like best, ha ha! The company who made them is named CREATE & they also made the 2 Glass Mugs you see below the clocks. OK, Now the last photo is a set of Ceramic Thimbles made in England ( UK ) by the Berkshire China company in 1996. The weird thing is Batman looks like he's the "movie version" while all the others seem like they're from the "Batman: The Animated Series" cartoon. Plus, the colors are sort of off a little bit. But, they're totally wonderful to look at & I love the artwork they have! All of these items are really great & I know a lot of collectors are gonna totally droll over these pics, thanks Batfan!
