The event starts tomorrow, Friday, June 17th & runs the whole weekend. So, if you live near that area then you need to drop by & say, "Howdy!". The convention will also have a ton of Comic Book Artists, who over the years, have worked on a BATMAN title. The list includes: Mike Grell, Carlos Pacheco, Doug “Dougie” Braithwaite, Arthur Suydam, J.G. Jones, Ethan Van Sciver, and Shane Davis. For more info then click HERE!

Are you going to the 2010 San Diego Comic Con this year? Well, here's a couple of Batman items to keep an eye out for. The Graphitti Designs company will have a special limited edition BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( Video Game ) action figure in their booth, #2315. It's the BATTLE-DAMAGED BATMAN!! It's sort of a special pre-release, since it will come out before the next official wave of figures. Also, Warner Bros announced that they teamed up with SDCC to give away 125,000 special tote bags that will feature many of their different commercial properties. There will be 11 different designs so be sure to try & get the one with "Batman: The Brave and The Bold", pictured up above. In fact, if you can get an extra one to give me then I would love you forever, ha! The other 10 designs will be: The Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Fringe, Human Target, Nikita, The Vampire Diaries, The Looney Tunes Show, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Clash of the Titans & Brightest Day. OK now, the Bat-Blog isn't going to SDCC this year ( because we're total losers ) but, like every year, we will try our best to keep you up to date on any new information about the event that is related to Batman. If you hear of any news please let us know.
OK, here's the deal. I live in Oklahoma City & we never have any decent Comic Book Conventions here. It seems like I always have to travel to Dallas, Texas or somewhere to meet really big stars. So, I'm really excited about the fact that ADAM WEST ( Batman 1966 TV Show ) is going to be in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 26th & 27th. Tulsa is a short little road trip that is about an hour & a 1/2 drive for me...YAH! The funny thing is that he will be at the TREK EXPO which is basically a super-major Star Trek Convention, ha ha! In fact, their HUGE Special Guest is none other than William Shatner. Yes, Captain James T. Kirk! They're also going to have a few actors from other TV Shows & Movies like the old Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, etc...It looks like a really cool event so if you live close by you should check it out. By the way, the photo I have up above, of Adam West, is a special BATMAN WALLPAPER BACKGROUND that I made to celebrate! For more information about TREK EXPO 2010 be sure to click HERE!

Do you remember those wonderful Mego Dolls from the 70's? Do you collect them? Well, the Mego Museum is having their annual MEGO MEET again this June. I know, that's about 3 months away but I thought I would report it now so many of you can make travel plans. I will probably remind everybody closer to the time it actually happens but it's good to know early. Now, for people who have never been, MegoMeet is a chance for the Mego Toy Collectors Community to get together in person to trade and buy parts and action figures, sit in on sessions designed to educate and answer questions about the Mego Corporation and the Toys they made, but more than anything a chance to hook up with friends and fellow collectors live and in person, instead of over the internet. This year it will be in Wheeling, West Virginia at the Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum. The date for the event is June 11th & 12th, 2010. OK, this thing is always way too far for me to go so if any of you go please send us some cool pics!

Awesome! It looks like the Tonner Doll Company is going to feature an EXCLUSIVE Deluxe Figure of THE HUNTRESS for this year's 2010 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo known as "C2E2". The Doll will be 17" tall, very limited ( only 200 made ), & will come with an autographed certificate signed by Doll Creator Robert Tonner. At the convention you'll be able to find it at booth # 425. The retail price will be about $150.00. Now, for people living near the Chicago area, this show will be April 16th-18th, 2010. For more information, click HERE!
The Legendary BATMAN Comic Book Artist NORM BREYFOGLE will be a Special Guest at the NORTH EAST COMIC CON in Boston, Massachusetts on March 7th, 2010. So, if you live nearby, then this is your chance to meet him & maybe get a drawing or sketch of the Dark Knight. Now, another reason I mention this Boston Comic Book Convention is that they will also be giving away, as a door prize, an Original 1940's Golden Age Copy of BATMAN #1!! WOW! That would be extremely cool to win! I mean, I have wanted that iconic issue since I was about 12 years old, ha ha! For more information about this show be sure to visit their site by clicking HERE!

Last weekend, in New York City, they had the famous BIG APPLE COMIC CON 2009! One of the special guests was none other than the legendary Batman Comic Book Artist Neal Adams. Don't believe me? Well, here's photographic proof! Here is Neal sitting in a beautiful 1966 Batmobile Replica Car. Now, I mean, how cool is that! I have never got to sit in one of these things, but from what I have been told, once you sit there you never want to leave, ha ha! I love the expression on Adams' face, priceless. If you want to know more about Neal Adams' current work then I suggest checking out his website. You can visit today by clicking HERE!
