Video - Batman and Robin in The Janus Factor

Here's an interesting Fan-Made BATMAN CGI Animation Video I found on YouTube from a user named "MarvelZombie2099" and it's his personal homage to Gotham City. He created some really nice Batman and Robin 3-D models and later decided to make an animation starring the Dynamic Duo. His goal was to create a Silver Age Batman story that focused on crime fighting and action without the modern Dark Knight angst. The characters look pretty good & I totally love the Batmobile car! As usual, with Batman, the Villains steal the show!

BATMAN and TWO-FACE ARTWORK by Ethan Van Sciver

This is just a quick post to share some extremely beautiful BATMAN artwork I saw on the Internet awhile back. Here are 2 Comic Book Convention Bat-Art Sketches done by Ethan Van Sciver. The 1st one features our favorite Caped Crusader, The Batman and the 2nd one is the Villain, Two-Face... AWESOME!

THE DARK KNIGHT - Batman Movie Wallpapers

OK, I know that coverage on THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie is sort of "old news" now but there are still a ton of people who are HUGE Fans of this film. I know that, personally, I have a kind of "love & hate" feeling about it. I love the movie because it's totally great & was a lot of fun. On the other hand, as a "Batman News Reporter", I had to cover the thing night & day for many months before it even came out. I sort of got totally burned-out on it before it hit the Movie Theater & I remember that when I went to go enjoy the movie I had to sort of shake off all the information I had acquired about it. But, thank God, it was an AWESOME movie!

Now, since some time has gone by I'd like to share these TDK Wallpapers that are pretty cool! The 1st one is Heath Ledger, as The JOKER, driving the School Bus right after the Bank Robbery...a great image & awesome background! The next one is sort of a PROMO portrait of Batman, Two-Face, & The Joker. These were done by a Digital Artist named "Messenjah Matt". He took a ton of photographic images from the movie & then digitized them into graphics that made awesome backgrounds. If you like these 2 examples, then please be sure to visit his website where there are many many more, just click HERE!

New Funko DC Universe POP! Vinyl Figure Toys Coming Soon!

Here's a prototype picture from the recent 2011 Funko Toys Catalog showing the 2nd Wave of DC Universe POP! Vinyl Figures. Now the main reasons I'm listing them here is because one of them is Batman-related, Two-Face! But the other Superheroes are cool as well: Hawkman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, & Shazam! Right now there is no exact release date but I'm guessing sometime around August. Stay tuned to the Bat-Blog & we will let you know ( We'll also have some sharp photos of the actual products as soon as possible ).

David's BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES Wall Murals

Here's a room that all Batman Fans would love to live in. These pics were sent in to us by a friend over at Facebook. His name is David & he says that this is the room where he does a lot of artwork. You can see his Drawing Table over in the corner. There are some really cool pieces of Batman stuff laying around ( Toys, Statues, Books, etc... ) but, of course, the main focus of the room are the wall murals. There are 2 major themes here: Heroes and Villains. For the "Heroes Wall" we get Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing on a rooftop in Gotham City. It's done in the graphic art style of "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" animated series. Then, we get some Villains: Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Clayface, & Mr. Freeze. They're all hanging out in front of Arkham Asylum! The artwork here is very well done. Overall the room is extremely excellent! A special thanks goes out to David for sharing his personal space. We totally love this room!

Limited edition of 500 pieces & will have a Retail price around $ 295.00 but can be found ON SALE at certain websites.

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY - Hugo Strange and Two-Face Propaganda Posters

Here are some BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Propaganda Poster images released by both Warner Bros Interactive & Rocksteady Games. In this sequel to the popular Batman Video Game a character named Hugo Strange is going to be a major part of the game. This "poster" is one that is being posted all over Gotham City. The next "poster" is for Two-Face & it's a parody of the famous "Uncle Sam, I Want You" image.

GOTHAM HIGH - The Batman Cartoon That Didn't Get Made

Here are some pictures that have been heavily circulating around the Internet. They are Concept Art for an idea for a new animated TV Show called GOTHAM HIGH. Basically, it's the entire World of Batman as teenagers. Yes, teenagers, ha! You have Bruce Wayne, Barbara Gordon, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, The Penguin, Clayface, Two-Face, Bane, etc... I have to admit the artwork is very good and the character's quirks & personalities are all caught pretty well ( Be sure to click on the 1st image for a large, more detailed, photo ). But, personally, I'm extremely happy that this never got off the ground. Now, some people have said that if it did get green-lit that it would have been fun... because it's such a train wreck. Plus, one friend said he would have liked to have seen the Action Figures made from this show because the character designs are kinda neat. What do you think?

Photos - BATMAN COLLECTIBLES - Water Snow Globes

Check out these amazing Batman Snow Globes! These pics were sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Kevin ( Please be sure to click on them for more detailed photos ). I'm not sure if he got these as Christmas gifts the other day or he has been collecting them awhile. Either way, they're really great! The 1st two are sort of related to the "Batman: The Animated Series" cartoon. One has Mr. Freeze & the other shows Two-Face getting punched after robbing a bank, ha! I have always loved that TV show so I really like these. Well, the last one is more "Comic Book" related, but it's equally as cool! It shows Batman at his parent's grave site & it's more emotional than the other ones. A special thanks goes out to Kevin for sharing his photos, "You ROCK! Sir!"

BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM - ART QUILT - Arts and Crafts

The Bat-Blog is pretty famous for celebrating creativity, in any form, but this photo is just totally amazing! I actually love old quilts as an American art form. But this modern-day one is just really great! It's titled "ARKHAM ASYLUM". Besides Batman, Robin, & a few versions of Batgirl, we also get to enjoy many images of some major villains: Poison Ivy, Bane, the Penguin, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and many more. Please be sure to click on the photo for a much larger picture. The details are beautiful! ( Thank you Debra for sending this pic )

Pumpkin Town U.S.A. Does BATMAN and ROBIN Theme!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! These extremely fun photos are from our friend Chris, who lives in Illinois & every year they have what they call "Pumpkin Town U.S.A.", which is exhibited for a week around the city. The theme changes every year and for 2010 they chose to do "Heroes and Villains". Then, the local High School picked "Batman" as the theme for their display. Here are just a few examples! Check out this amazing creativity, I totally love this! They have made scarecrows of the Caped Crusader, Robin, the Batmobile ( ha ha ), The Joker ( both the comic book version & Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight movie ), & Two-Face!! Well, they have not made the complete costume for Two-Face yet but they have made the pumpkin head for him & you can already tell it's gonna be very cool. I love the photo where Batman and Robin are working out on the weight bench & Batman is spotting Robin, hilarious!! Also, the Batmobile ( Riding Lawnmower ) is great stuff!! I wanna thank Chris for sharing this wonderful story with us & taking the great pics....this is fun! Plus, This is just in time to wake-up the Halloween spirit!!

New Images From BATMAN - ARKHAM CITY The Video Game

I apologize in advance for this post sort of being like an "image dump" but there are some really great pics here from the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game, the sequel to ARKHAM ASYLUM. I'm loving the extra characters so far: Catwoman, Harley Quinn, & Two-Face! Plus, the "Joker Goons" sort of crack me up!
