Over at the Bat-Blog's Facebook page we recently met a very talented Graphic Artist named Andy Pemberton. He's a huge Batman Fan & since his Son is too he has even made a few items for his him. The first photo shows a nice pair of Custom-Painted Converse Shoes with images of Batman and The Joker from the "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" TV Show. This pair looks incredible & whoever does marketing for that show should sell these, they're great! But Andy's other shoes he has made are nice too. Check out the ones with Mr. Freeze ( Animated Series ) & Poison Ivy ( Comic Book Cover ) graphics... nice! Then, in the last photo, there's a few items Andy made for his Son. It's a Custom 1966 Batmobile-Inspired Bicycle Ride-On!! He also made him a Bike Safety-Helmet that looks like the Cowl worn by Adam West. Plus, there's a great Messenger Bike Bag with graphics from the animated intro to the classic '66 TV Show... AWESOME!! ( Thanks to Andy for sharing these pics & keep up the good work ).
I know 2012 is a long time away but we just got some news about a very cool set of 2012 Batman 16-Month Wall Calendars that will be available soon. The 1st one is inspired by the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. The 2nd one will be loved by Fans of the GOTHAM CITY SIRENS Comic Book Series. You know these lovely girls: Catwoman, Poison Ivy, & Harley Quinn... MEOW! The cool thing is that both of these Calendars will also come with some FREE Digital Material you can download to your computer ( Basically, it will be an Electronic Calendar Widget for your desktop ). Now, I don't know which one of these I'm going to get yet, maybe both, ha! I mean, both Calendars look pretty cool & it's hard to decide. If you would like to pre-order them & save 20% then please use the link button down below.
We're excited! The Bat-Blog just got some awesome new photos showing the costumes and set design for the UK stage show of BATMAN LIVE WORLD ARENA TOUR!! They were very large pics so I decided to offer them as super-fun BATMAN LIVE WALLPAPERS you can use to brighten your desktop's background. All the photos are pretty much self-explanatory! The 1st one shows the costumes for some of the characters: The Joker, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Batman, Robin, Riddler, The Penguin, & Poison Ivy. The next wallpaper features just Batman and Robin, but it shows a lot of details to their costume design. Last, but not least, the final photo shows what the "Gotham City" Set Design of the Stage will look like. So, which costume is your favorite?
The Comedy Group "Barely Political" just keeps cranking out the Batman Movie Parodies, ha! I mean, they have practically made enough video clips for an entire TV Season. But, because of space limitations, I'm just posting 2 of them: The one with the Joker & another with Poison Ivy. Please Enjoy Good Time.
Here's a room that all Batman Fans would love to live in. These pics were sent in to us by a friend over at Facebook. His name is David & he says that this is the room where he does a lot of artwork. You can see his Drawing Table over in the corner. There are some really cool pieces of Batman stuff laying around ( Toys, Statues, Books, etc... ) but, of course, the main focus of the room are the wall murals. There are 2 major themes here: Heroes and Villains. For the "Heroes Wall" we get Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing on a rooftop in Gotham City. It's done in the graphic art style of "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" animated series. Then, we get some Villains: Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Clayface, & Mr. Freeze. They're all hanging out in front of Arkham Asylum! The artwork here is very well done. Overall the room is extremely excellent! A special thanks goes out to David for sharing his personal space. We totally love this room!
Here are some pictures that have been heavily circulating around the Internet. They are Concept Art for an idea for a new animated TV Show called GOTHAM HIGH. Basically, it's the entire World of Batman as teenagers. Yes, teenagers, ha! You have Bruce Wayne, Barbara Gordon, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, The Penguin, Clayface, Two-Face, Bane, etc... I have to admit the artwork is very good and the character's quirks & personalities are all caught pretty well ( Be sure to click on the 1st image for a large, more detailed, photo ). But, personally, I'm extremely happy that this never got off the ground. Now, some people have said that if it did get green-lit that it would have been fun... because it's such a train wreck. Plus, one friend said he would have liked to have seen the Action Figures made from this show because the character designs are kinda neat. What do you think?
The Bat-Blog is pretty famous for celebrating creativity, in any form, but this photo is just totally amazing! I actually love old quilts as an American art form. But this modern-day one is just really great! It's titled "ARKHAM ASYLUM". Besides Batman, Robin, & a few versions of Batgirl, we also get to enjoy many images of some major villains: Poison Ivy, Bane, the Penguin, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and many more. Please be sure to click on the photo for a much larger picture. The details are beautiful! ( Thank you Debra for sending this pic )
OK, since Halloween is right around the corner I thought we would post this costume make-up tutorial for some readers ( Yes, Women love this site too ). This video teaches you how to do POISON IVY "green face" make-up. It looks pretty good & would make an excellent Halloween costume.
Here's a leaked video clip from a future episode the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD cartoon where Batman joins forces with Black Orchid. In it, we get to see them both fight the seductive Poison Ivy & her henchwomen...it looks pretty good!
Hey Kids, it's time again for Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday! We got some really great Batman Backgrounds this week so get ready! The 1st one is extremely special. It's an art sketch submitted by Josh Adams. You might recognize the last name because Josh's Dad is none other than Neal Adams! It seems that great artistic talent runs all through this family. This artwork shows Batman throwing a batarang, I think it's pretty cool! Please look for more of Josh Adams art here at the Bat-Blog in the future. You can also check out his website by clicking HERE! The 2nd Wallpaper Background uses some promo art from the new DC Universe Online game. It's a beautiful graphic of the super villain, POISON IVY! I thought that both of these images would make fun wallpapers. What do you think? Listen, you guys need to let me know which wallpapers you like the best or maybe which characters you would like to see. Ya know, I'm always trying to make the Bat-Blog the best fan site ever & I do need feedback every now & then, ha! Please remember, if you dig through the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES, located on the left side of this page ( near the middle ), you can find hundreds of other Batman Wallpapers we have done over the years.
Check out these extremely cool pics from our friends Josh & Jenn. This year they went to the Comic Con International in San Diego & they totally dressed-up for the occasion! Josh was Two-Face, Jenn was Poison Ivy, & their friends ( sorry, I don't know their names ) were Catwoman, Black Canary, & Batgirl ( or is she suppose to be Batwoman? ). Judging by the photos, it looks like they all had a total blast! These pics sort of crack me up because I know these people in real-life & it's a big surprise that they would go to this event, ha! But regardless, they all look really great in all their costumes. ( Thanks to Josh for sending the evidence ).
OK, For "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would go with a Batman theme that celebrates ART. The 1st background was made using a drawing submitted by our friend Drew. Yes, he drew this amazing piece of art showing all our favorite Batman Villains! You got: The Joker, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Man-Bat, Two-Face, Clayface, Riddler, Poison ivy, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, & Killer Croc!! Whew, that's a lot of evil right there! Thanks to Drew for sending us this pic, he did a great job on it. The next wallpaper is a photo sent in by our friend Michael. He saw this thing in the front yard of a sculptor in California. I've featured this on the Bat-Blog before. It's sort of a famous landmark in CA. Anyways, I have always loved this piece of art, it's very clever, & I thought it would be kind of fun ( Thanks Mike ). So, there you go. Here is this week's wallpapers! Now, remember that we have hundreds more at the Bat-Blog. All ya gotta do is dig through our BAT-ARCHIVES ( which are located on the left side of this page, near the middle ) to see them all or click the button down below for the 30+ most recent.

Hey Kids, it's Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday! We got some really great Batman Backgrounds this week so get ready! The 1st one uses some promo art from the new DC Universe Online game. It's a beautiful pin-up of the super villain Poison Ivy, hubba hubba! The next one is a close-up shot of a Custom Batman Munny Figure that was customized by a friend of the Bat-Blog ( He did a really great job on it ). Well, it's pretty much been announced that with the success of the 1st wave of figures for BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( The Video Game ) DC Direct now plans on coming out with Series 2. That wave will include Batman - Armored, Poison Ivy, Bane, & Zsasz. They will all be approx. 7" tall, multiple points of articulation, & be sure to keep an eye out for them around February 2, 2011.
Presented here for your viewing pleasure are 2 extremely well done Batman Tattoos of THE JOKER & POISON IVY! Well, the "Poison Ivy" one is not completed yet but you get the idea & so far it looks really great! These pics were sent in by our friend Jason who is also the extremely talented Tattoo Artist who did them. I love the expression on Joker's face & he's holding that cool "Joker Cane", that's a neat touch. Plus, the coloring is very excellent. The next pic shows the 1st stages of creating a Poison Ivy Pin-Up Girl Tattoo. I can already tell that this is gonna be really great when done but Jason, you better send us a pic of the completed project, ha ha! I wanna thank Jason for sharing the photos & his cool artwork, good job!
Poison Ivy is the latest statue to join the insanely popular COVER GIRLS OF THE DC UNIVERSE statue series! DC Direct specially commissioned fan-favorite artist Adam Hughes to design this statue to fit in with others he has designed. For example, Poison Ivy here is the companion piece to the recent Harley Quinn Statue! Hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain, and measuring approximately 9 3/4" high x 4 1/4" wide x 4 1/4" deep, this statue includes a 4-color Certificate of Authenticity and is packaged in a 4-color box. The Retail price will be around $100.00 & has a Release Date of September 15th, 2010. But, for a better deal click link below:
OK, speaking of Adam Hughes, the Great Comic Book Artist. Down below is the original concept artwork for this statue. The images I got were so BIG I thought, "Oh man, these NEED to be Desktop Wallpapers!". So, here's a few Poison ivy Statue backgrounds for your PC.
This brand-new Character Glass of POISON IVY just hit the market & like all the other glasses from this series will probably sell-out pretty soon. I love that they devoted a glass to one of Batman's villains. The graphics are really great! On the front is the image you see up above & on the back is her name done like a "comic book logo". Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that the glass is totally clear but in this photo a piece of white paper was put inside to allow the image to be photographed. So, it looks a lot more cool than the dumb photo. This glass, of course, is one of the "Toon Tumblers" in the DC Comics line. Let's hope that they eventually make glasses of every single Batman character out there, ha ha! For more information be sure to click the link down below.
Last Halloween 2 friends of mine dressed-up as Batman Villains. Their costumes were really well done & here's the photos to prove it! Josh was Two-Face & Jenna was Poison Ivy. I have to admit that both costumes are extremely impressive! Good Job guys & thanks for the cool pics.
