1966 Batman and San Francisco Fire Department Team-Up!

Check out this extremely cool Batman-themed T-Shirt used to promote the San Francisco Fire Department, specifically "Engine 26" in Diamond Heights. The design looks a lot like the opening title graphics for the 1966 BATMAN TV Show. Now, speaking of that TV series, somebody went to a Comic Book Convention where all the actors posed with the T-Shirt. There is Adam West ( Batman ), Burt Ward ( Robin, The Boy Wonder ), Julie Newmar ( Catwoman ), & the 1966 Batmobile Car Designer, George Barris!

Cool Vintage-Style BATMAN 3D T-Shirt on Sale at JC Penney

This is just a post to share some news I heard last night. The rumor goes that J.C. Penney stores have an extremely cool Batman T-Shirt that borrows graphics from the Vintage 1953 BATMAN 3-D Comic Book. I think it's only sold there as I have not seen it anywhere else. Plus, right now it's on clearance & you can get it for $9.99. I totally love the Retro-style graphics on this, it's great! Be sure to look at the actual comic book cover for reference, nice!

Ivan's NEW Vintage-Style BATMAN T-SHIRT Retro 1970's Graphics

Here's a quick post to share a nice photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan from Italy. This is Ivan & here is a Batman T-Shirt that he just bought in an Italian Store. Yes, BATMAN is popular enough in Italy that they actually market products there... and that is so AWESOME! I also think it's cool that the graphics look very retro-style. Check out the Bat-Logo, just like the comic books from the 1970's & 80's. I wanna thank Ivan for sharing his pic. Plus, if any other readers from outside the US come across ANY brand-new pieces of bat-merchandise then please let us know.

BANE BREAKS BATMAN'S BACK - Lego Figure Style!

A friend sent me this picture the other day of a brand-new BATMAN LEGO T-Shirt & it totally cracks me up!! It features a graphic of the iconic moment when Bane broke Batman's back, but the image is done with Lego Toy Figures, ha ha! As we all know, this was part of the KNIGHTFALL storyline that was popular in the Batman comic books around the Spring & Summer of 1993. Remember, the sound of a back breaking is "KRAKT!!"

New BATMAN and JOKER T-SHIRTS From Superhero Stuff

Oh yeah! Over at the Superhero Stuff website they just released a few brand-new Batman T-Shirts that I thought were pretty cool. The 1st one shown here is a special "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" shirt with artwork by Walt Simonson. It's the artwork for the recent Detective Comics cover he did that was an homage to an older Golden Age book cover ( also on the shirt ). The next one is a beautiful CATWOMAN image. This pin-up art was done by none other than Adam Hughes, the master! The last example is one of my favorites. It's a scene from a vintage 1970's Batman Comic Book Cover showing the Joker. The original artist back then was Neal Adams so you know the graphics are sweet! Now, they have many more brand-new Batman T-Shirts & other merchandise in right now so if you wanna check them out just click the button down below, thanks.

Well, check out this photo and then you'll agree. Here he is sporting his brand-new Batman Baseball Cap/Hat, Batman T-Shirt, Batman Tote-Bag, AND Batman Belt Buckle!! OK, now do you believe me? I thought this pic was kinda funny in a very clever way, I mean, he's so serious! I wanna thank Salvatore for allowing me to post this photo, BATMAN ROCKS!!

Photos - RARE Vintage 1960's BATMAN Merchandise

As a Batman Toy Collector I always like to see super-rare items that are out there. It sort of gives me a goal to look for these things. Especially if I never knew they existed before. Here's a few examples: This 1st photo shows a Batman "Character Sponge" still in it's original package. Now, this item is so extremely RARE that I will probably NEVER find it, in any condition! I totally love the vintage graphics. The next 2 photos are of a 1966 Batman T-Shirt. This is one you don't see a lot of. In fact, I kind of wonder if it's an actual licensed product or not. But either way it's pretty cool. The last item sort of cracks me up! It's a Batman Bath Mitt. It's sort of a hand puppet shaped terry-cloth towel sort of thing. I bet they also made one of Robin but I have never seen it. Items like this usually got used-up pretty good & that's one reason you never see them today.

Photo - David's Vintage 1970's Batman T-Shirt!

Here at the Bat-Blog we love to get Vintage Family Photos from readers that show actual Vintage Batman Products. I mean, it's really neat to see these special moments of bat-history. This photo was sent in by our friend David. It's from the early to mid 70's & shows him wearing a great Batman T-Shirt! Looking in my bat-files, I was able to find the original art of this shirt's graphics ( shown in the upper right-hand corner ). Thanks to David for allowing us to post this wonderful pic, it's really cool!!

David's Vintage NEAL ADAMS BATMAN T-Shirt Photo!

OK, this is really great! We received a ton of great vintage "Batman-related" photos from our friend David the other day. I thought I would post them every now & then. You know, to spread them out a little bit. I know you're going to love every single one of them! This first one is David from around 1977. He's shown here wearing a Vintage 1970's Batman T-Shirt that has actual bat-graphics done by the Legendary Comic Book Artist Neal Adams!! Plus, as a bonus, I have placed under that a Batman Wallpaper Background of that classic artwork, it's totally iconic art! Please feel free to use this as a background on your PC or MySpace page. Also, thanks to David for all the great pics, I appreciate that very very much.

Remember, we always love getting old photos like this so if you have one then please send it in. Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page. Oh yeah, one last thing, our gratitude goes to John for sharing these great pics...Thanks John!

Vintage Photo: 1960's BATMAN COMIC BOOK LOGO T-Shirt

I really love getting cool Batman-related pictures like this! A Bat-Blog Fan named Sam was kind enough to share a vintage family photo he has of him & his younger brother from the 1960's. Of course he is wearing the famous BATMAN COMIC BOOK LOGO T-shirt! How awesome is that?! I told Sam that I had that exact same T-Shirt when I was a little kid ( they must have sold millions of them ). These came out around the time of the 1966 TV Show. Thanks Sam for sending this wonderful personal photo, it's great! If any other readers out there have anything similar to share then please send it in. Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page.

JUXTAPOZ Magazine Selling "Joker Villain" T-Shirt

OK, here's some Batman news that's kinda strange. I really like ART and every now & then I'll check out a few Art Galleries or Art-Related Websites online to enjoy looking at some drawings, paintings, or just what's going on in the Art World. The other night I was reading the JUXTAPOZ Magazine website. They cover the "underground art scene" & have some really interesting stuff sometimes. Their main focus is what some call "Outsider Art". It's artwork that is outside the main stream. Bouncing around the site I came across this awesome Joker-inspired T-Shirt that they have on their STORE page. It's called "The Villain" & was designed by the Artist Anthony Lister. Looking at it, it's obviously the Joker, ha ha! Anyways, I knew some Bat-Blog Readers would really like it so that's the reason for the post. For more info, here's a link to check it out, click HERE!
