Yesterday I was on Facebook and was surprised to see this amazing portrait of CATWOMAN by a Digital Artist named Randy Silvia. He was kind enough to allow me to post it & I knew I had to share it on the Bat-Blog, it's beautiful!! He created it with Adobe Illustrator CS. Please be sure to click on it for a large, more detailed, picture. ( Thanks Randy ).

A friend of mine sent me a link the other day to website for an amazing Graphic Artist named Mark Fredrickson. His artwork is extremely cool & I've known about his work for a long time but never knew his name, ha! You see, he created a few of the covers for MAD Magazine when they have done a parody of the Batman films. You might remember seeing the image shown here of Alfred E. Neuman as The Joker ( Heath Ledger version ). Mark also did a lot of the Stock Art ( or Style Guide Art ) used to promote THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Franchise. His images were placed in magazines, advertising, & other media packaging. Anyways, it's all good stuff & if you would like to see more of his work then just click HERE!

Here's a strange Batman-related item I came across last night while surfing the web, a "Batman Theme" for your Android Phone. Now I don't know how good the quality is because I don't have that kind of phone. Plus, I don't know anybody who has downloaded it, but it looks pretty cool. It cost 99 cents so that should give you an idea. Here's a LINK to check it out & if you do get it please give us a review. As a legal side-note, the Bat-Blog is not responsible for this thing screwing-up your phone, ha ha!

DC Comics announced recently that they have teamed-up with Converse Shoes to bring a new series of sneakers with graphics of their comic book characters. Well, a few pair have the Dark Knight himself, the Batman! Check out the pics up above & start drooling! Also, if you're interested in finding a store location, or seeing all the other shoes they have, then check out this LINK.
I know this guy named Dean Trippe who is a Graphic Artist / Illustrator & he is extremely talented. The cool thing is that he is also a serious Batman Fan. Well, recently he became inspired by his appreciation of the British DOCTOR WHO TV Show & decided to meld it with his love of the Silver-Age Batman & Robin stories. So, he created this parody comic book cover as sort of an homage ( click on it for a larger, sharper, version ). The art is really great & I totally love the vintage-style Batmobile car! If you would like to purchase this Fine Art Print then be sure to visit his etsy website by clicking HERE!

Michael B. Myers is a 27 year old Graphic Designer and, as a personal project, he recently created a few "Vintage Style Superhero Posters" featuring a few of our favorite DC Comics characters. He actually made a lot of them ( Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, & Hawkman) but because the Bat-Blog is mostly Batman-related, I thought I would just post these 2 of The Dark Knight and Robin. If you would like to see more then just click HERE!
Here's another photo sent in by a loyal Bat-Blog Fan named David. It's a wonderful vintage family photo from around 1981 or so. It shows David, then age 13, with his favorite Batman Beach Towel. Oh man, the graphics are so extremely cool & this thing, today, is very very rare! The artwork looks like the classic stuff done by Carmine Infantino. I totally love this pic, thanks to David for sending it. If any other readers have any Bat-memories to share then please do. our email button is always at the top right-hand side of this page.
Here at the Bat-Blog we love to get Vintage Family Photos from readers that show actual Vintage Batman Products. I mean, it's really neat to see these special moments of bat-history. This photo was sent in by our friend David. It's from the early to mid 70's & shows him wearing a great Batman T-Shirt! Looking in my bat-files, I was able to find the original art of this shirt's graphics ( shown in the upper right-hand corner ). Thanks to David for allowing us to post this wonderful pic, it's really cool!!

A friend of mine over at a Message Board I belong to found these POP ART Wall Hangings the other night at a Target Store. They're in their "Decorating Interior Design" area where they have a bunch of Clocks, Lamps, Framed Pictures & other Home Accessories. They're designed to look a lot like the 1966 Batman TV Show where they had POW! & BANG! appear on the screen. OK, how fun is that?! Now while they are not exactly "Batman merchandise" they are still kind of cool! If anything these would be great for a little kid's bedroom or baby nursery room. Let me know if you get any. In fact, if any Bat-Blog fans come across new Caped Crusader items while they're shopping then please let us know, thanks.
PLEASE VOTE TODAY! Our friend, Graphic Artist Gerry Cleary, has entered his "Bat Oceanic Repellent" graphic into a Threadless T-Shirt Design Contest & needs your vote today! It only has a few days left to go & it's getting close. So, please click the link provided here & vote for him! CLICK HERE!
Here's a totally hilarious fan-made graphic showing Batman, with a Star Wars Lightsaber, fighting a Giant-Size Shark! OK, you gotta admit, it is very SUPER-AWESOME!!
I got an email the other day from a very nice guy named Keith. He wants to get a Batman-related Tattoo with an "ARKHAM ASYLUM" theme. So, he asked me to ask my readers if you have any ideas or know of any cool graphics that sort of showcase the ARKHAM ASYLUM building. I posted a picture up above that lets you know a little bit about what we're talking about. Actually, his letter explains it a lot better than I can so please read this: "I am thinking of getting an Arkham Asylum tattoo on my arm. The thing is I can't seem to find anything that fits the image that is in my brain. I am picturing the gates with a gargoyle on either side, The name above and the asylum itself in the background. I was wondering if you, or any of your Bat-Blog Readers, would have ( or know of any ) images that would help me out. I have gone through most of my graphic novels ( which I have a lot ) but still nothing. So, any help would be greatly appreciated!"
This amazing 3D Computer Graphic Art was done by our good friend Achim Loobes to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Batman, the Caped Crusaider! He has a website devoted to Batman that has a ton of very cool 3-D computer artwork. Now, the only problem is that the website is from Germany & is totally in the German language. So some of you, like me, can't read anything, ha ha! But it's very well designed & easy to navigate. It's worth a look just to see the cool images. Some of them are interaction & when you move your mouse around on top of the image, they come alive! Oh yeah, the site is called DER-VIGILANT & you can make a visit by clicking HERE!

I recently met a Graphic Artist named Gerry Cleary. The cool thing is that he is a HUGE Batman Fan & sent me this amazing artwork he did of the Joker. Of course it's the "Heath Ledger version" of the character from "The Dark Knight" movie. I knew I had to share it here & since the graphic was so large I thought I would make it a Batman Desktop Wallpaper. It has a cartoon style but is also very detailed. Look at the Joker Playing Cards, they're cool. The pattern on Joker's shirt is exactly like the one worn by Heath in the movie, a nice detail. The 1st picture shown here is the Desktop Wallpaper I made & the 2nd photo is Gerry's original graphic. As you can see this guy has a lot of talent. If you're interested in seeing more of his graphic work then be sure to click HERE!
